This Friday, B Town has two films to release. The first one is the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and the other is Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship. Both films are of different genres and content. The former deals with the gay love story, while the other is horror genre movie. It would be interesting to check the key details of the two as under:
The film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is a social problem comedy movie with Hitesh Kewalya as its director, while it is produced by Aanand L. Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under their own banners of Colour Yellow Productions and T-Series. The film is based on same-sex marriage with Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar playing the leading roles in it. The film enjoys a decent buzz, all thanks to its interesting trailer along with star cast other things that would certainly help the film to score well at the box office.
The next film Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship, happens to be horror thriller film with Bhanu Pratap Singh as its director and Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan as its producers. The film is produced under the banner – Dharma Productions. The film is based on a true accident, which took place in Bombay. The film has Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Ashutosh Rana in the pivotal roles. The is Karan Johar’s first horror genre film which is a film franchise. The ratings seemed mixed and the buzz when compared to the other remains low. Thus box office collection would remain low on the first day and it will likely to remain in the upcoming two days as well.
The Final Word
With all said and done, the makers of both the films seemed taking a chance to leverage from the holiday thus getting an extended weekend. However, only the makers of SMZS are likely to benefit the most when compared to the other film. Well, let’s see how things goes, but at the moment the gay love story seems to be a winner.
