With the recent Coronavirus outbreak, things seemed to have gone haywire everywhere. All the industry irrespective of the domain seems to have been facing the temporary shutdown. The B Town is certainly not an exception and the Hindi Cinema is likely to face the far-reaching kind of repercussions on the entire Hindi Cinema industry. Thus we have updates on the filmmaker Karan Johar which claims that the film producer is planning to drop his two big projects which were supposed to hit the floor this year and come out on the screens in 2021.
Karan Johar called his next venture Takht to be his ambitious project in B Town. The film was based on Mughal era showcasing the tale of the power fought between the two brothers Aurangzeb and his elder bro Dara Sikho to be played by Vicky Kaushal and Ranveer Singh respectively. The film is supposed to have an ensemble star cast with actors like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Jhanvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar apart from Ranveer and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles. As per sources close to the makers, the film seems to have gone in the red zone.
The other reason for dragging the film in the red zone is that it will likely draw several controversies for its content and tale of two brothers. As per sources, the film writers have added some communal tweets in it that can hamper the film drawing in the controversy. Karan Johar now wants to play safe and thus does not want to take any risk that can put his production house Dharma Productions at stake. Thus Karan seems to be planning to shelve this project.
That’s not all, he is also planning to put the sequel Dostana 2 on hold since it deals with some bold content and he may need some time to see things improving. The film is expected to have Kartik Aaryan in the lead role with Jhanvi Kapoor. He is not busy with yet another untitled project with Deepika Padukone and Sidhant Chaturvedi in the lead role to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala which is expected to hit the floor in July 2020.
