It’s 18th March 2020 when it happens to be the 83rd Birthday of the late veteran actor Shashi Kapoor. The actor’s family celebrated his birth anniversary and so is the Bollywood fraternity as well. We all miss the actor like anything who has been the son of Prithviraj Kapoor the big man in the industry bringing out a sea change in the industry and setting up the same as well. The actor was born on this date in the year 1938 in Calcutta. His father was in the film industry that made him work as a child artist as well, his mature years in B Town have been not less than five decades.
He was seen with his elder brother Raj Kapur in some of his films like Awaara and Aag. As he turned adult and entered the Hindi Cinema he turned the new craze among the young women. His fans were not just confined in the industry but also outside. He has been linked with parallel cinema as well apart from being in the part and parcel of the mainstream cinema as well. He therefore donned several hats in his career, which lasted for not less than five decades. His journey in Hindi Cinema started way back in his childhood in the late forties.
One of his ardent fans was Sharmila Tagore and has even worked with the actor. She was such a huge fan that even his presence on the sets of the film could distract the lady. He was therefore asked by the directors of the film to stay away from the movie sets so that Sharmila Tagore could focus more on her work. She has worked with him in films like Apur Sansar that turned big hit in B Town apart from the other movies like Waqt. Some of his other films that have remained hit include Trishul, Deewar, Namak Halal, Meeli, and Shaan to name a few. On this big day, we miss him a lot in B Town.
